How can I tell which rear axle configuration I have guys? The manual indicates that there are 6 versions:
9 1/4
10 1/2 AA
10 1/2 AA
11 1/2 AA
11 1/2 AA
248RBI (DANA 60)

And also not sure if I have Trac-Lok or not.

Reason I ask is that I am due for a fluid change and not sure exactly what to use - there are 3 different materials called out for rear axle oil depending on the version.

My truck is a 2006 1500 QC 4x4

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 1500 has the 9 1/4.
75W 140 Synthetic Gear Oil. Use either Royal Purple or Amsoil, both have the limited slip additive already added. You would need to buy 3 quarts.

It's just common knowledge that the Ram 1500 has a 9.25 rear. The 10's and 11's are used in the Ram Heavy Duty.
On my 04 there is a sticker inside the glovebox stating what rear axle is in the truck.

Ok thanks! How do I know if I have a limited slip axle? Should I use the additive/amsoil?

The Amsoil already has the LSD additive in it. I'm currently using the Amsoil Severe Gear with the LSD and I didn't need to add any more LSD additive.
