Ive had an 03' dodge hemi since the first year they were released in texas and it was fine until i went and started messing with the eng and hp.

I put a dry air filter system on it
aem headers
and a throttle body spacer
around 525hp don't quote me

in 06-09 (current) i've replaced the engine 3 times and the intake manifold 3 times also. As well as about 10 crushed spark plugs.

I don't know what is causing this, dodge says one more incident and corporate will be coming to take a look.

If anyone has any info as to why this might be happening or what I can do to solve it please email me asap @ Iamseanoshea@yahoo.com

Please and thank you in advance
Sean O'Shea

Just picked it up from dodge and the tech told me it could be 2 things, alternate fuel (which it isnt) or a chip. I had a chip in it but after the first new engine was put in I tok it out so it cant be that.

Tech said tuesday he will call me when his boss updates him on my account with dodge and if or not they will come take a look at it.

crushed spark plugs are a result of the top ring of the piston coming apart... bouncing around in the combustion chamber... usually do to a lean condition.

Figure out the lean condition, and the engine damage should go away.

In my experience, the spark plug is struck by:

1. Milled heads or thinner gaskets reducing the distance from the plug to the top of the piston

2. Flying pieces of broken parts in the cylinder

3. Longer plugs than what belongs in the hole being hit by the piston who is where he belongs

I would think that the plugs are most likely since it keeps happening with I assume a dealer installed motor. You claim not to have been far enough into the motor to look at other variables.

Pavement was made to be pounded and Chevys were made to rust. (no rhyme needed when you state facts)
