Hello I am new to this forum and love it! I have an 03 ram with a hemi and I got a light and read the code it was p0132 o2 sensor upstream volts to high. Well i changed the sensor reset the code and drove her for a while and than the light come back on and truck runs erattically, keeps wanting to stall and did once. I read the code again and its the same code I got earlier. reset it 1 more time and drove a 1/2 mile and bam there it is again! Truck running like crap again! Could the wire from the o2 plug to the PCM be shorted or grounded. I think it may be, but where. Anyone ever run into this problem? I really need help here!!! THANKS!!!

actly i think i know what ur talking about and might have the same problem. if i drive my truck for about 3 minutes it starts to kinda bog but if i eather put it to the floor or shut it off and restart it its good for as long as i drive it untill i shut it off and let it cool down for awile. it does this every time i start it after its been siting for awile. ive had the same code for high vlotage but idk if that was the number or not. lemme know if u have the same problem cuz i would love to figure out whats wrong with mine. my light is not on all the time its on like verry rarly but is the same thing.

Thanks for the replys guys!! Does your truck run fine until the light comes on?? Mine will run fine until the light comes on. Also at idle it almost sounds like there is a high performance cam in it. RPMs up and down. What the heck is going on here?? Let me know if your trucks do that. One of us will figure it out!!

my truck will do it after runing for 3 minutes no matter if im stoped in idol or im drivin at 45 it will just start dieing and if i give it gas it will backfire. if it is idoling the rpms will drop way down lower than normal and sorta hop and it smells like kerosine or some kind of a weird smell coming outa the exaust i think just think its unburned gas or somthin do u have that smell? ive had it die once or twice from letting it sit and its the same weather the lights on or not and i did a tune up and all that to try but no diffrence. does urs do this like all the time its runing or just once and awile?

Bruce, mine sounds just like that. I dont know if the pcm is bad or what?? I hope not. Have you tried checking the wiring from your o2 sensor to your pcm?? I will not be able to check mine for a few days. I am 2 busy. Yes I have a weird smell. It smells like the cat. I dont drive it now until I figure it out.

the problem is once the lite comes on, its in a limp in mode. Runs bad, runs bad if lite comes on(hard fault, po132 forward 02 sensor high. Yeah, Dealer said, Cost me 100 bucks to find out,bad peddle position sensor(275 bucks, cant afford. Try this, works for me, clear code, press acc all the way down 30 times, start engine, you have to turn to start pos. twice, is normal, and go like hell. lite will always come on in park idling after a minute or sooner, I think I will buy a batt cut off switch so I can clear code faster, tps get dirty, mabey drill holes in it and spray elect. cleaner??? mmmm....pedal pos. sensor located under battery..

i havent checked my o2 wire never thought of it but idk if thats what it is but it is possible sometimes it does it more when i drive it in the rain so somthing could be shorting out. i hope it aint the pcm but i wanna get mine tuned anyway so ill see if they notice anything when ever i do that. its a weird thing so far cuz noone knows anything about it i havent found 1 person that can look in a single direction on what it could be everyone just guesses.

if you change an o2 sensor you have to clear the pcm ram (reset the pcm) so it can learn the heater characteristics of the new sensor. just unplug and reinstall the pcm fuse and you're good to go. all you have to do is pull/reinstall the fuse, all the crap about buckling the seatbelt, listening for chimes, key cycles, etc is made up bullshit.

i replaced my o2 sensors a couple days ago and one was oem and the other was a napa sensor, got codes from the napa sensor and it ran like crap, missed and bogged like crazy at light throttle. took out the napa sensor and tossed an oem one in there and everything cleared right up.
