Knocked out the spark plugs yesterday. 3 hours, no bleeding and not a lot of swearing, thanks to an extra set of hands. Went with the E3's. Prior to the plug change I was getting a P0430 code for the CAT inefficiency. After the swap, no code.

For a real challenge, take the plugs out of #7 cylinder, with an air ratchet. When the air ratchet bottoms out on the brake booster, the challenge begins. Big Grin

No thanks. Had enough problems with extensions come out with no socket on the end.

Yeah, they are easier the second time. The first time I did plugs and shorty wires it took me 3 hours. That was on my 03.

This time on my 05, I did wires, plugs, pcv valve, oil breather filter, and popped my stock intake all loose including the bolts in the wheel well, and did a Power Foam treatment in just a shade over 2 hours. When you know what to expect it makes a huge difference....lol. I surprised myself. I had started all that at about 8p one night and was watching tv at 10:30p.

The sucky part is the chances of ever doing plugs twice is slim unless you keep your truck that long, or you did like me and buy another one. Unless you help a buddy or something.... dunno

Good job!

And i'm over due to d it again.
I noticed NAPA has NGK 5306 for $2.99 each. With coupon they have at parts counter you get a dollar off per plug.$1.99 per plug not bad.
Last time i gave $1.99 per plug at O'Reilly's
