In my personal opinion you couldnt have traction bars and tow without some major issues, anyone have experience here or other opinons, Something I dont think I've seen on here yet!

just wanted to bump this thread back up, was just wondering the same thing and ran acrost this thread.

what would happen if you heavily loaded your truck with traction bars installed? wouldn't it twist the axle forward when alot of weight was applied?

screw the snubbers all the way in, or take them completely out... the bars will likely not come into contact that way.

I had Moe's Traction bars on my 04 and hauled all kinds of weight without any issues, other than a rough ride. I would suggest, like Phil did that you lower the snubber for heavy loads just to be safe.
In case your wondering about how much weight I pulled... Fertilizer buggy, with 6 tons of fertilizer, 5 miles of highway (2 lane), 5 miles of country roads, (not smooth be any means) and then across my pastures. Hauled my tractor and equipment all over with no problems. dunno

Thanks Rancher! you mentioned a rough ride, was that only when loaded? traction bars don't hurt your ride when not loaded do they?? (don't see how they could as they aren't touching until you wrap the axle)

thanks again!

Frowner There wasn't much difference unloaded. You could make the snubber hit on some of the rough roads around here. Plus I had removed the overload spring to get the ass end down. Liked the look but the truck was a little rough...short wheelbase and all.
Good luck! thumb2
