Taken from another site. I have not done this myself, but coppied these instructions to have when i got ready. Let me know if it works out ok, this will make installing my amps soooo much easier.
BACK SEAT MODIFICATION: Keep in mind, that as you flip your rear sweat up the back of the seat rises to a high point then falls again when it is at its resting point, either up or down. This is the instruction for a 60/40 split rear seat. you fold up the first small section of the seat, this would be the 40% hahaha. Anyhow flip it up and unbolt the 4 bolts at each corner of this seat, you may or may not need to take out the folding tray if you have one, I took mine out for this modification. After unbolting the 4 bolts you will take out the whole seat. The old directions on making your rear seat flip forward called for you to cut the two tabs on the back of the seat. THIS IS NOT NECESSARY. If you look at the back of the cab at the hooks where rear of the seat slide into they are offset so the grabbing point of these hooks is above the mounting point. Simply unbolt these and flip them upside down. This will lower the point at which they will grab. Now, bolt the seat back into the rear of the truck. This works because now when you lift the seat the back portion of the seat will rise just high enough to pop out of the now lowered hook and fall forward. To set the seat back up you push the back of the seat against the back of the cab and raise the seat making sure to push against the seat as the back of it reaches its high point so it will fall into the hooks. ____________________________________________________________________________ 06'-Ram-Hemi-Pearl Black-Magnaflow-AEM CAI-Diablo CMR Tuned By Mike W. @ tuningsuperstore.com 06'-Magnum R/T-Hemi-Pearl Black-Magnaflow-Diablo Tuned Ram in Action Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you.... it worked out very good, Alot easyier then i thought. I just had to put 2 washers under the seat to bring it up a bit more to get it over the hooks on the back of the cab. So get 16 half inch washers and it should be a breeze.
My next question is how do i mount a amp to the back of the cab or seat? |
