I have a 04 quad cam ram. I have the overhead console with digital display in it. I am just trying to figure out how it comes down so i can get to the wires. Im trying to Run a direct install kit for my radar detector, and just need a power and ground wire in the headliner. figured id run it to the display then the radar would turn off with the display when i take keys out of ignition.

Welcome aboard andysamuel18 - we're glad you joined us!

There have been several members here that have removed the overhead console. Use our search feature - there should be a couple threads on the subject thumb2

I took mine out to paint it. Think you pop the light lens out. Carefully. Might be couple screws and it pulls out. It has been awhile since I took it out. It not too bad though. goodluck1

We just took ours out... you pop lenses out, got to take the screws out, then pull it down, and the clips just pop out. That is what 05moparman said.

He just finished painting his....

I hardwired my passport 8500 X50 but went the long way around. I run phone cord from the switched cig lighter (+12 and ground) right in the middle of the dash. Popped off the drivers side piller and ran the wire behind them. I then ran it with the other wires that go "into" the headliner and down to the mirror. I then threaded it through the braid with the other mirror wires and done.

I should have gone to the console, though...hmph..oh well.

haha Justyn! You know...that's not a bad idea really. Wink One of these days I'm going to get to my fluids!! It's been on my mind.

I'm thinkin this coming weekend is going to be claybar, paint cleaner/ polish, and wax. They say you can't get white to look "wet" and "deep" uh huh..I'm going to prove that theory wrong. Wink

OH, I haven't run any new wire or anything for the speaks yet. I haven't got everything in yet. I will, though! hehe When it comes time to do yours, I'll give ya a hand.
