Anyone install a dynamat or other sound dampering pad in their truck? Looking to get rid of some outside road noise / interior resonance.

I've never heard of that one. We have several guys that have used "Second skin" sound dampening.

You can add some dynamat to the inside of the doors and stuff it may help. Im thinking of doing my doors with it to help the speakers out.

One of our original members "Dan, the nice guy" had an '03 RC that he completely gutted and installed Dynamat in every square inch of the truck.... was the most quiet truck in the Country - until he turned on his radio

Any Idea how much it would take to do the floor, roof, behind the seat, and doors in a Reg. Cab? If I buy it bulk it would be (9) 18"x32" pieces or 36sqft I believe (have to go recheck the ad).

Just take some rough measurements to get your square footage... then add 10% for oh-craps

Well After shopping around I can get 36sqft (9 18"x32" sheets) for around $140.
The cab on my truck is roughly 6'x4' +/- (going off of having to sleep in the cab a couple times while out camping with a leaking tent, Im 6'-3" and I cannot lay straight across the all 3 seats) So lets say roughly: 24sqft (+/-) for the floor 30sqft (+/-) for the roof 36sqft (+/-) for the back 9sqft (+/-) for both doors So roughly 3 sets (well technically 2.75 sets) should cover it? Or am I off somewhere on my math? ____________________________________________________ 05' Dodge Ram 1500 RCSB 5.7L HEMI \ AFE Hemi High Breather CAI \ Fastman Throttle Body \ Modified MIT Tube \ Pacesetter LT's \ 3" ORY \ Borla XR-1 \ 4.56 Gears \ Trans Cooler \ APS TQ Converter \ AeroForce Interceptor \ AeroForce Wideband \ DSP \ Bilstein HD Shocks \ Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar \ Yokohama Parada Spec-X 275/55/r20 \ Viper Alarm \ SRT-10 A-Pillar \ ARE Tonneau Cover \ Debadged |

Check on E-Bay. I bought a roll of matting that is the same as dynamat for half the cost. I got a full romm that was 5' wide by 20' long. I did my whole S-10 inside every inch plus my T/A and still had some left over. It was only $80 for the roll.

I have definitely considered it. I would imagine 100sq. ft. should cover almost everything. Might do it especially if I get headers. Truck is fairly loud now with the Bullet I am running. Would be nice to pad everything up real well and quiet it down.
