Well its a Hemi and a dodge truck and I am looking for some help. I have the motor, tranny, harness and computer from a 2003 Ram 2500. I did not know at the time to get the transmission computer and the throttle by wire box.

I have heard to use the stock harness, to not even try etc, etc. My thought is to have the stock pcm reflashed to the new specs. I have googled most of the sources and looked at products from hotwire, hotrod lane and a few others.

Has anyone done a hemi swap into an older vehicle that could list the pitfalls (other than money).

As far as I know, we have had members here that have dropped a 5.7 Hemi into a mid 90s Dakota, and a late 90s Jeep. Would love to see pics of the build of your '42 WC53 project

and i think the hardest part would be mounting all of the boxes and the harness in the old truck but i am sure it can be done

First, , second, the 03 doesn't have a transmission computer. It's all in the engine computer. Makes it easier.

has converting it to Carb crossed your mind yet? There ARE intake options now. Then run the tranny on a stand alone, or go back a few years, and build a manual valve body.
