Sticky time!! Big Grin

I know more than a few of you have been already thinking about the new season!

I picked up a new to me Winchester model 70 30-06 for the upcoming season, and have been laying down food at about 5 different spots for the last few weeks.

I dont much like September for delaying deer season... Frowner

what are your plans, hopes, and dreams for the new season??!

You're not the only one! Big Grin

I got my trail cam set out yesterday and baited it with an apple block. Hey, I want to know what's back there. We got corn in our fields this year so that's going to put a damper on bow season starting in October. I did see plenty of tracks though. I'll try to get back out there next Saturday to check the cam but if I don't it's no big deal. I attended our local Whitetails Unlimited chapter banquet last Saturday and won a 15 foot ladder stand. I'm also on the committee for our WU chapter this year (buddy informed me of that when I got there). We're putting on a youth hunt Sept. 26 at a local FWA for 10 kids. It's firearm and doe only so we'll see what happens. I won't go out in the woods with any groups, just be there for support.

We had some really nice weather here today so I decided it was time to get the bow out and assemble that new ladder stand I got. I would prefer to have a little more foot room to move around but it still works out ok. As of right now it looks like my first day in the woods will be Oct. 3. Here I am 15 feet up practicing some 20-30 yard shots.

Good deal,I started flinging arrows a few weeks ago...... thumb2

thats the same stand I use...I have 3 of them up
put a cushion on it,its more comfortable, but be careful when you stand up,that you don't bump it and knock it off or you could strap it on
