this is a OEM system I installed myself it won't allow me to do the tach programming , instuctions tell me to hold the button in for 10 seconds and the horn will honk and the lights will flash 3 times-this never happens, not sure if this means its not wired right? Instructions are not clear for the blue tach wire atachment, if any body has installed one of this systems and could provide a clear picture of this tach wire connection I would most certainly be interested, thanks

The only thing that I know from looking into it before is that you have to turn it on though the computer, but I am not sure.

Just put one on my 06 charger the tach wire goes to the coil pac on the driver side rear.top wire do you have a securty key and is it a new or used kit?

Just some info on this: If you have a securty key and you are using a used system off a different car and all the part # are the same there is still a part that will need to be replaced. The scram module is only good for one program. This part is what makes the car think that there is a key so the car will keep running.

Not sure what you mean by security key ? and it is a new system.
Is it important to splice into that specific coil pac or can you splice into any coil pac? The instructions read "splice into vehicle dk blue/green wire in cavity #1 at the coil. Alternatively,choose any wire in cavity #1 of any of the coil connectors". |

A key with a chip in it. All the ones I have seen have been on that coil. If it is a new system it will need programed if you have a key with the keyless entry and securty key. In the kit you installed did it have a wire that went around the key cylinder?

Yes I know that as I stated earlier I haven't got that far yet because Instructions say the Tach programming must be done first which is not responding as the Instructions say it should that is why I questioned if the tach wire may be wired wrong.

Alls well-rewired tach wire and reprogrammed now its seems to be working fine.

Now does anyone Know how to change programming to a longer run time? its set to 10 minutes now.
