I'm thinking of doing some interior dressup in my '05 quad cab. I have the dark grey interior and I'm thinking maybe a carbon fiber style for the radio bezel and door switches and chrome or billet type rings for the speaker grills, chrome steering wheel insert pieces, billet lock pins and maybe a billet strip above the glove box.

What brands have you had good luck with and what ones went to complete pot on you? I've never done the double sided tape kits before but I remember years ago my brother in-law had bought a Jeep Cherokee that the dealer added an after market wood grain kit and it looked real good brand new but after a year or so, the tape started letting go, pieces were popping and I distinctly remember the radio bezel piece had a curve to it and the curved parts would pop and wouldn't restick down, it looked terrible after a year.

Must of those double sided tape kits work good, the problem is people don't prep the dash correctly.

Clean the surface with 70% alcohol, then use 3M adhesive promoter, then install piece. Once on, you will need a jackhammer to remove, works 10 better than super glue.

Installed my Dad's kit 7-8 years ago on his '97 Ram, still looks like new.
