Looking for a double din dash for my 2005 1500 quad cab. The installers hacked up my dash and I can't stand looking at it! Does anyone know of an after market dash or does anyone know if there is an existing fiberglass mold? Any help would be really appreciated! My dash is an embarassment thanks to Sound Blazers in Coral Springs Fl doing a hack job!

You're going to have to start from new on this one. No mold is out there to my knowledge and even the trucks w/ Nav in them used the standard opening in that year. Basically you need to just find a new dash bezel and either cut it yourself or take it to a reputable shop.

it's not that hard to customize the factory one,
just got to cover the stock opening with a layer of fiberglass then cut the size you need, sand and paint and it's done

1) Nice dash fab work! Can the center piece be entirely removed from the center dash? Also, what is the difficulty factor and how long did it take you?

2) I tried contacting the German Co. with the double din dash. I called (international call) and also sent a contact e=mail via their web site but have not yet received a response. I just happen to be German but my German speaking and writing is pretty bad. Maybe they thought I was not a serious buyer. I tried ordering the part on line via their web site but there is no option for delivery to the USA in their Country drop down boxes.

the center piece has a couple of melted tabs attaching it to the rest of the bezel but a little grinding or drilling can take care of that.
the difficulty factor from 0-10 a would say a 6 you also have to be patient with the finish, it takes time to make it nice and smooth and let the paint cure properly before installing it
Tha company used to have the dashes on Ebay
