So, I finally decided to try to put my truck in the garage after living in the house for almost a year. The door is 81.5" tall x 94" wide. The usable parking space on one side is 235" long, the other side is only about 199" (I hope the Chally fits). My truck is 81" tall x 229" long and either 88" or 90" wide (mirrors in) (I couldn't get an acurate measurement). My wife's car (mirrors out) is the same width as the truck (mirrors in) and has about a foot on each end when parked. This is just one example of how they're building homes in my neckof the woods. The only exception is a custom built job. Big Grin

I had the same problem when I bought my house. The garage was not meant for full size trucks. My Tahoe was a tight squeeze too. The garage met its' fate in the spring of '06 when I tore it down. Haven't built a new one yet though.

thanks guys, the tight fit is what prevents me from putting it in there every night. Not to mention, the wHemi's Charger is about a foot too long to be comfy on the other side. Cool

By the way, boedacres, is that shop portable? I could use a nice place to keep the new toy. Wink

yuk I think we all know how they're sub-dividing property to less than a 1/4 acre now. My lot is only .15 acre and it's one of the biggest in the sub-division! Eeker I think there's only 1 or 2 which are bigger and the people who live in one of them drive big lifted Dodge 3/4 ton trucks! Their toys barely fit in the garage! rimshot I'm not sure about the other one. It's probably still a bare lot Wink.

It's like they expect everyone to drive ricer these days. I know a couple who are trying to get rid of their ricer and back into a fully re-done 1980's Cheby burnout.
