So far the only thing I've used it for is to rip down a couple of trees at my parents' land and also to pull my sister's POS car into an area where I could more easily hook it up and tow it away. I'm looking forward to getting back to Ft. Bragg where people can't drive and using it to recover their vehicles... It's how I justify it to myself... Big Grin

I know what you mean. i have a warn on my jeep and only used it a couple of times. But are nice when needed.

I have a wich on my car trailer, it has come in very handy pulling cars up onto the trailer. And mine is a cheapy Harbor Frieght unit that has never once given me a problem.

That's a great use of a winch! My dad has a HF 3,000 lbs winch in the bed of his Hemi for use when he needs to load the riding mower and one of us kids (ages 18-27, all moved out) isn't around... Of course, I have to poke fun at him for being "too old" to push it up...

I had a local business where I used to work install it while I was deployed. That's part of the reason I haven't done much with it because I only got to use it for 2 weeks while I was on R&R leave.
