ok boys and girls, got my gibson headers installed. took some minor tweaks, about 4 hours of work and we got them on. the minor tweaks are because the hardware that came with the headers were made so that it would bolt straight up to a stock exhaust. i do have pictures i took with my cell phone of my custom y pipe and installed headers.
i love them, havent driven hard yet, just got on it a few times. but as of now, i have a much mellower exhaust tone, and the typical drone i used to get from the factory logs is no longer there. it feels good, my long term fuel trims have balance a little better, but watching my air fuel ratio and it is quite apparent the computer is still learning the new flow. the af is between 14.5 to 15.1, where stoich is 14.7. will keep you all up to date as i get a few more miles on it.  have had a stock, 6.1, 260, and a spartan cam. dont ask.. krc210 w/ 4 degrees cam, Sharadon Ported and Polished Heads, Gibson Headers, Cutout, AirRam CAI, Diablo Predator, Custom ypipe and Exhaust and more.. lol, its only 5 years after i bought the thing that i get them installed. this really was what was keeping me out of the 14s. now i have the diablo on the way and it will be off to the dyno tuner to get me into the mid 14's. even have some 4.10 gears to install, someday...
