Got the Michelin LT 265/70/17 and got 98,860 miles all highway driving on 2003 hemi 2500 standard cab. funny on the tire it shows 41 week of 02 made in 2002. That is 7 years old.
What do you guys recommened the tire shop are talking $240 per tire so installed around $1,070

Any suggestions please. Like I said I do lots of highway and believe it or not still have some treads on all the tires . But with all the rains here in GA , I need more wet traction , I know I am pushing it now but I feel like my luck will run out on me. Can't go 100,000 that is what I was going for. pms

I'm running General Grabber UHPs and I love them. And they are great in the rain. They really grab the road. Mine are 295/50 R20, but I know they have them in 17s too. And the price is good too.

I haven't bought any LT tires, but I'd be willing to bet those Michelin's are 10-ply tires and to get 100,000 miles out of them is amazing. I'd say they'd be worth $1000 to put them on again. You may want to try shopping around locally or check out www.discounttire.com to see if you can find a better deal.

great info and yes GAR it is a 10 ply load E and the best is I never tow anything behind the truck , I was only using the truck to go on long state to state trips buying and picking up 6 speed SHIFTER KART . Only one at a time , kart only weights 165 lbs. which i just put it in the 8 foot long bed. behing my standard cab 2500 2003 . Everybody tells me that this truck is a over KILL , that I can haul 3 full size cars on a car trailer with this hemi and tow package.
I know there are others brand tires and i was looking for all possiblity . Since i am not in the karting business anymore . once you turn 50 you look for others venues of business. I pick up( 2 ) LINCOLN limo stretch cars with bar and tv's sun roof and have 21 year old girls as drivers. Business is finally picking up.

MONEY is kind of tight right now lots of people out of work. Thank God for WEDDINGS and high school PROMS beer beer givmebeer

My Michelin's are also ten ply the ones on the 02 went 90k. No wet traction on the 02 0r 06. I am running Brigstone tires and have better traction wet and dry they are under 800.00 a set.
