Personally, I would change the gears, but that's not what u asked. A Comp Cam 260, or the like.

iagree With 35" tires, changing the gears would give you MUCH more low end grunt than a cam would... and less work Wink

So what have we learned in 2 millennia?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."
- Cicero - 55 B.C.

Apparently, nothing......

"How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young,
compassionate with the aged,
sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong.
Because someday in life you will have been all of these."

George Washington Carver

I agree with the other guys, you will benefit the most from a gear change.

456s but a 4.10 would be ok. As for the cam, you can do this later a 260 is good, or get a custom grind from Inertia Motorsports or Sharadon Racing. both are good. But again, there are a lot more changes you have to make once you choose to put in a cam. Some are plug n play and computer friendly others need tuning.

have had a stock, 6.1, 260, and a spartan cam. dont ask..

krc210 w/ 4 degrees cam, Sharadon Ported and Polished Heads, Gibson Headers, Cutout, AirRam CAI, Diablo Predator, Custom ypipe and Exhaust and more..

I put a 260 in my truck,helps lots down low,and high also.
I went from 3:73s to 4:10s no difference, waste of money.
For me a tq converter was my best upgrade, next to heads, for getting me moving off the line.

If you do a 260 cam you need to be able to pull fuel at idle, and raise idle, otherwise it runs perfect.
