Anyone done a side-mirrors swap?
I want to swap out the mirrors on my 03…to the “flip outs” Before I order the damn things….and sweet talk my hunnka hunkka blue eyed cowboy into doing it for me (Hey…don’t wanna break a nail…ya know..HEH!  )I wanna make sure they are really “plug and play”…..and it isn’t going to turn into a bigger job. (AND…this is a drive by post ya’ll….been outta town…just got back and headed right back out.. BUT I do have it set up for e-mail alert…so I’ll be watching!!!!!!!) T.I.A.!!!!!!! I don't quite get your meaning. The mirrors on my moose fold back, and are stock. Are you talking about trailer mirrors that go way out? What are you going to pull? My leg?

Mine came standard with the big moose fold-out traier/tow mirrors.
 have had a stock, 6.1, 260, and a spartan cam. dont ask.. krc210 w/ 4 degrees cam, Sharadon Ported and Polished Heads, Gibson Headers, Cutout, AirRam CAI, Diablo Predator, Custom ypipe and Exhaust and more.. If it is the trailer/tow mirrors you are asking about, pm Gas Hawg. He swapped his regular mirrors out for the towing ones on his half ton. I wouldn't think there would be much difference between the models considering mirrors. Hawg's truck is an '03 as well.

Tory its actually quite easy you have to take the door panel off then there is 2 -10 mil nuts to take off on the door behind the mirror then unplug your mirror heating and power pigtail and put the new one on... not hard at all. ive done it when mine was smashed off

Thanks for the help here guys. It is the “tow mirrors” she was asking about. That 03 of hers is like her, just has to be a little bit different. The “not like the others” oddball things I am still finding amaze me sometimes. (I mean the truck, not Tory, erhhh, I think). I guess I’ll go ahead an order them but
 pay attention here Stinkerbell, I’m not putting them on until you light. I swear I’m going to have to nail her feral red haired rear end to the floor to keep her home long enough to get it done. Just wanna add...once you remove the 4 or 5 screws holding the door panel on, lift straight up on the door panel. It will come out of the slots that way. There is no need to remove it completely either. Then remove the 3 - 10mm nuts holding the mirror on and unplug the power cord. You will need to squeeze in the tabs on the connector to remove the mirror from the door. The new towing mirror goes in even easier!
