Just got my 4.56 installed. Wow. I'm still having to go easy on it for the break in but on the highway im right where I wanted to be I'm running 65 MPH at about 2200 RPMs in 5th and 2500 in 4th. So far not a bit of whine from back there. I think its actually quieter than my stock 3.55s were. This has to be the coolest mod for these trucks especially if your running 3.55s. Thanks to "HemiByrd" "boedacres" "afteamroper" "Hemi317" "Superjay" and "07_hemi" for the help.
Oh and nothing but positives on the shop I used. Good mechanic who new what he was doing. Fast, I was in at 0800 and out at 1400. Price was great, $220 in labor. Friendly and easy to talk to. 5 stars in my book. Oh yeah and did I mention No Whine!!
If your in central Alabama The Caddy Shack in Montevallo did great for me. Small shop so I'm sure they could use the business.

Oh yeah on more thing AWESOME.

Thanks. My install was done by the tranny and gear tech at the local Dodge dealership. He did a top-notch job and even cleaned up my old parts before he put them in my boxes and set them in my truck for me. He was very impressed when he drove my truck. Wink

Havent top ended mine since the new gears. But I do know. It has alot more power at 90 than it used to. With the .67 5th gear in our trucks. You wont have any trouble going as fast as you want. Another thing to realize is the peak twist in our trucks is at 4200rpms and peak HP is not until 5400rpms. So the hemi runs much stronger at high RPMS. I think Im at about 3100 RPMS at 90 mph or so. If that helps

For sure. Just use a speed/rpm calculator like this and plug in the numbers. Wink
