I'm coming up on 50,000 miles with the last six months of it towing a trailer everyday for work so I figured it was time to address the rear differential. I'm going to order from amsoil but I don't know how much of what to order. Thanks for the help in advance.

Just put a new TA performance cover on my 3.92 limited slip rearend. It took 2 1/2 qts. of amsol 75w140 including the 4oz.of slip lock. And filled it till it ran out of the fill hole.My Haynes manual says 2.45 qts. capacity for the 9.25 and to fill till it runs out of fill hole.3qts is more than enough.I added the slip lock for insurance.(Also TA say's there cover holds a 1/2 pint more fluid.)

yes, dodge specified to fill only till under the fill plug. I used Valvoline on my old stock trac loc with Limited slip additive and it actually made an improvement on my toasted clutches. DO NOT USE ROYAL PURPLE its JUNK.

You shouldn't need the slip lock additive with Amsoil. Any reason you added that? Was it slipping or chattering, or something? Same with RP. I put RP in my Ram with no additive. 12k miles later, still drove the same, but then I sold it.

If you change your diff cover and the plug is in a different location, how do you know where the fill line is?

If you overfill it will just blow out of the vent hose and drip on your driveway. No damage other than that.

My fill plug on the new cover is stock height.(Measured it).Just add the amount for your rearend and add the extra amount if your cover hold's more than the stock cover.
