Anyone know what the special tool is and where one can be had/price? Tech says you need the tool to set pinion angle and depth.

Don't know but when I got a quote to get my gears installed the mechanic said he had all the special tools, he brought it up I didn't.

It's a pinion depth tool. I can post a picture of it Monday.

I did some more investigation and found there is a mopar tool C-4146. It is a long rod with a 1 7/16 head. It is used to remove the carrier and set the pinion depth? What the heck do you do with that tool in the pic. Can't imagine many mechs have that thing.

I hope the shop doing your gears has one and knows how to use it. If not, find another shop.
