SHould I buy the $40,00 notche cross pin or can you grind the cross pin or tooth yourself. If you can do it yourself how is it done??

You can grind a little off the inside of a couple teeth to allow the pin to slide in. Your pinion, if adjusted properly, will not run on that area.
SRT10 undersprung rear axle with 4:56 gears, Mcgaughy's 2" drop spindles and Belltech 2" drop coils, supermaxx longtube headers and hi perf cats, Edge Evolution gauge pack, Fiberglass hood with functional shaker ram air, and Airaid CAI, 180 Jet stat Flexalite E fan, Diablo tuner ![]() |

So it is just a few teeth, not all of them? I don't remember the cross pin going in when I did my other gears.
If this is the caxe I think I could skip the $40 cross pin. 04 Blue RC/SB ( Member #300 ) Superchips Tuner,Pacesetter headers, CAI, Custom Aero exhaust 125 SHOT OF NITROUS " ZEX ", 2/4 drop, sway bar, etc... |

Only have to shave a little off 3 teeth. A notched pin is a weakened pin. Better to grind the teeth.
