I was wondering if anyone could point me in the diirection of a reputable shop in the NJ,DE,PA, and even MD area that can do a 4.56 gear swap on my 2003 Dodge RAM 2500? The closer to south jersey the better. I have been quoted two prices of $1000-$1500 for the labor alone NO PARTS, for the front and rear. I thought this was kinda steep after reading some of the chats about people getting everything done including parts and servicing after break in for around $1000, but maybe I am wrong. I was hoping a I could save a little money buying the gears and install kits myself and having a shop install them, I am more of a back yard mechanic, and after hearing some of the stories on here about whining and grinding rears, I think I'll stick with the experts for this. Also I have done some research and can only locate 4.56's for the 10.5" AAM rear in my truck, does anyone know if there is a 4.88 ring and pinion for my application? Thanks for your help HTC.com ROCKS!! HTCrules

I had my 4.56 gears installed by Wayne at Heads Up Performance. Excellent job no complaints at all.
I have a 4X4 and he did the front and back differentials. He's one of the few places that has experience with swapping the gears on the front diff.

I supplied the parts (gears and master install kits) when I had it done by Wayne and he had no problem with that.

Just got off the phone with Wayne at Heads Up. Labor: $400 for back rear and $500 for the front rear.
