hey guys I have a huge problem right now. OK here it is... I have a 03 dodge ram QC with a posi rear end. It started making a whining noise in the rear end about a week ago when i turn sharp at slow speeds, when i hit the freeway it seems to stop or i just cant hear it. I just had the diff fluid changed about 5 weeks ago and it started about a week after it got changed. I am despirate here I need to get to work. I have the caliper and brakes removed on the drivers side (noise is loudest on that side), i think it might be the rear berrings, maybe??? Another question i have, how do i get to the rear berrings? Any suggestions?
thanks
brian

Did they/you add friction modifier when they did the change? Could be the bearings though. Mine did the same thing and they replaced all the rear end bearings under my warranty.

Be prepared to be fustrated with your E-brakes, they're quite an annoying setup.

is there play in your axle ?also when i have to change them were i work we use a slide hammer with a 3 jaw puller on the endwith the jaws turned backwords.not sure how you would get them back in though but this only works if bearings are in axle tubes not pressed on to axle
