I NEED SOMETHING THAT WILL WORK GOOD AND NOT JAR WHEN TURNING THIS 8500 LB TRAILER I TOW, AND IM IN BETWEEN THE AUBURN, FACTORY LSD, POWERTRAX OR A DETROIT. I DONT TOW TOO OFTEN BUT I KNOW WITH 800 TO 1000LB HITCH WEIGHT THE AXLES WOULD NOT LIKE THE FULL LOCK AND TURNING. NO GIVE AND AFRAID OF TWISTING A SPLINE OR SNAPPING A SHAFT! dunno

THINKING OF THE POWERTRAX OR THE DETROIT MORE CAUSE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO NOT BE AS TEMPERMENTAL AND NO FRICTION MODIFIER NEEDED!

I think the stock LSD does great for turning on pavement, even with a load. I've never had it lock up when it shouldn't be.

Depending on how you use your truck when you aren't towing you could opt for an Air Locker.

True Duct tape to the rescue! Big Grin

David is one of the few I know that would carry Duct tape in his truck!

Update on this thread, Ive had my Detroit True Trac in for about a month now with my 4.10 motive gears, I will say that this is the best unit I have ever had, Ive had the factory LSD in my 02, but this is smooth, you dont feel it lock in, but when you slam that skinny pedal, both tires will go up, the drivablity was something I was scared of but its like an open diff until it senses the proper load etc, its FLAWLESS operation. 100% pleased and recomend for anyone needing to replace their carrier or wants Posi dont go with the factory mopar lsd, do this upgrade and you will be 150% satisfied, no more friction modifier or clutches to wear out. All gear!
