i have came across this on other websites and wondered if there was any truth to it. it read that if you reset your hemi's computer it learns how you drive and can adjust for any mods? i just want to know if it works and how to do it if it does. thanks for any help

I'm gonna regret typing this.. Red Face Roll Eyes

BUT…if you pull the PCM it will reset the truck…
On my 03 I think it's fuse 23…on the 04/05 I think it’s fuse 19

And yes it will learn how you drive it…and yes you will notice a change when you pull the PCM. We’ve done it to both trucks and I can tell a lot of difference in the way the 05 drive…my husband pets and babies it….

I drive mine like a bat out of hell(03)….so mine stays ready to scream…..

he’s got the superchip for his truck now…so the PCM isn’t an issue….

but I have him pull the one on my truck when it seems to start boggin down…
The trucks have a "limp mode" they'll kick into.....to protect it...mine just seems to go there for no reason Frowner
(BTW…that Baby on your av is darling!)

First time John pulled the one on his truck...he was a$$in around....not payin attention when he put it back.....truck wouldn't start and BOY did he start to trip...BUT once he looked at WHERE the fuse was...one slot to far over....all was COOL...

Not quite. Superchips only modifies certain parameters, it doesn't override everything, so the PCM reset still works. Depending on the length of time since the last fuse pull, the reset can be worth as much as 0.2 sec in the 1/4 mile on a 4x4 QC (as measured on my GTech).

All this talk about fuses and no one is telling him the whole procedure.

Pull fuse
Turn ignition to run
Listen for three chimes
Turn ignition off
Replace fuse

Some will say you have to fasten the seat belt but personally I don't see a difference.

I just went out to pull my PCM fuse....No fuse in slot #23? Looked on the back of the fuse cover and sure enough slot #23 is for the PCM?!!So I've put almost 14,000 miles on my truck without the PCM? How is that possible?!!!

No, I checked it several times. No fuse in slot #23. I pulled out the 15amp fuse for the heated mirrors and put it in the PCM slot...

did you count out 23 slots, or just line up the number by eye. There is supposed to be an empty one in there. I believe it is the next one over

I don't think its a chain jerk........

Anyhow, after you pull the fuse, connect the driver's seatbelt, and turn the key to "on position" without starting it. You will hear a chime. After the chime stops, turn the key off, reinstall the fuse. You have successfully reset the pcm. Go inside the house and treat yourself to a nice, cold beverage!

Note, this is a continuous procedure. Put a ticky mark after each step
