I'm still up in the air on the whole programmer idea and am curious to hear any negative experiences from no apparant gains in power or MPG up to the drastic PCM burnup or blown tranny. I have very minor mods CAI, cat back exhaust and I'm not looking to take my truck to the track so it would mild programming mods I'd be doing. I'd really like to improve MPG assuming I can keep my foot out of it but not at the expense of blowing something out of my truck.

I have had Superchips in my 2004 and now in my 2007. Always ran on 87 octane. It immediately gives you a boost that will bring out a grin in the most conservative of us plus it gives you 1 or 2 mpg improvement with conservative driving. I have never bought any thing that gives you more bang for the buck. I have never had a single malfunction on either truck.

All I can say is try it, you will let it.

iagree You can notice gains in your MPG, if you can keep your foot out of it. So for at least the first few weeks you might get less mpg, but it's worth it. IMHO

The first time you feel that 1-2 shift at WOT, you'll say "well that was worth the price of admission right there!" thumb2

I had one on my '03... never had any issues whatsoever.

I'm one of the beta testers for the new PT shift and torque management functions soon to be available for the SC Flashpaq 3865 and Cortex 3950. Shifting now is such a sweet experience. No more lag when shifting, downshifts are so much better - no worries about getting into 2P with 5dn 4dn and 3dn shift points adjusted.

I'm averaging 12.5 with my moose tuned to 91 Perf and running 93 octane which is about 1.5 mpg better than stock and 87 octane.
