well today started out just like any other day woke up took a shower and made me some breakfast. after eating i go out on the back porch to smoke and watch the dog run around. while contemplating weather to cut the grass or clean the truck. then i hear the phone ring and the wife answers it, i here hi and then two words that make your hair rise on the back of your neck OH NOOO. so with dread in my heart i ask her what is wrong and she just hands me the phone. well it's my brother and he has bad news. well it turns out that my sisters husband died Saturday morning sometime during the night. she said that they went to bed around 1230 and when she woke up she got up took a shower and when he did not get up during the time that she was in the shower she went over to his side of the bed and shook him and he would not wake up. so i have spent the entire day over at her house with her and momma and my younger brother, not that there was much we could do but feel helpless and stand by and watch her and her daughter cry and play the what if game. it was just heart breaking to see. then we had to take her to the funeral home to arrange plans for his funeral. even more heart break. one would think that after working in the medical Field for so long ( 15 years) and seeing so much pain and suffering one would become harden, but that is not the case it seems for me. if anything i am more soft hearted as i grow older in age and in time at the hospital working. so my friends. hug your love ones good night and tell then how much you love them. for you do not know when god will call you or someone you love or know home. so peace be with you my brothers and sisters. for all.
