I'm dealing with a break up with an ex, but I have to continue to live with her util she leaves me for someone else in another town in Feb...

It's a rather messed up deal and I just need support from where ever I can get it. Also, everyone on this site is so cool and I wanted to let everyone know that I might be kinda here and there on the site while I'm dealing with this.

I appreciate that man! I really do. I'm just trying to surround myself with as many people as possible, which my friends are really doing a good job of trying to fill my schedule to be away from her as much as possible in the coming months until Feb.

cheers

HV,
that is a tough time to go through.
My best advice as an old feller and a man married 3 times is:
GET away from her.
If the place you live in is yours, put her out.
Change the locks. It's not going to make her "Leave you for someone else" any harder.

If you live with her:
GET out. Don't be afraid to ask for help from family and friends. That's what they are there for. You may have to swallow some pride but in the end,it will be worth it.
The days of our lives click by so very quickly.
Why waste yours with someone who doesn't love you?
Just ask me. I'm 62. Yesterday, I was 20. Do you get it?
I pray the Lord will give you the strength to get up and get moving. From here, your life can only improve.
regards,
John D. They don't call me "The Ogre" for nothing.

Well, she's quitting her job and moving away, but we've got bills to pay off before she leaves, so it's easier to live in the same place until then. Also, it's an apt. with both of us on the lease, but we can leave at any time (month to month lease)....

Good news though! I got something with our bills "relieved", so we'll be getting those things paid off and I'll be moving much MUCH sooner than previously thought.... Maybe by January at the latest! thumb2

I appreciate everyone. I was having a hard time with things the other day, but have come to some great conclusions through talking with friends and feel absolutely fantastic today about the whole thing! Big Grin Big Grin

Damn bro, sorry to hear that. Not going to say I've been in your shoes, but most folks I know have dealt with their share of heartbreak and I know it sucks every time. Remember, nothing will fix it but time. Just be sure and keep your perspective on things, and if ya need to just get out there and burn some rubber. Good luck with everything bud, it'll work out for the best. cheers
