Hi all. Sorry I have not been on here much as late. But, I need some prayers said for Michaela, mine and TexasHemi's daughter. We have had some health issues we been dealing with since the last part of April with her. She been having pain in her legs and lumping, well we thought growing pains since she is 11 and been doing a lot of growing here lately. The pain got worse and so to the Doctor we went (not our regular one that we see, our was out of town that day)and he took x-rays and everything looked ok on them. So he told us to put a heating pad on it and give her some advil and see how that does. Well it did ok for about two days then the pain came back so we went back to the Dr. Myers and he took more x-rays and blood work and gave her some codeine for the pain. Well, the codeine worked for three days and then Michaela got a high fever that landed her in the hospital for a week. She got a bladder infection and a infection around her appendix. The day before she went into the hospital the Doc said blood work came back good and I told him that Michaela had went home from school sick and not feeling well. He said to bring her in, but we did not make to him since she had to go into the hospital, so I called to let him know what had happen. Well Michaela did okay and got out. They had her on Batrim for the infection in her bladder and appendix. We, went back to Dr.Myers to ask about the infection around her appendix that our regular doc said Michaela had(2nd opinion and the regular was out of town for two weeks)and to find out why Michaela has not stop lumping. Well, we talked and Michaela did a urine test to check to see if the infection in her bladder had gone away and it had which was good news. Then more x-rays and nothing is showing on them. Dr.Myers said that the lumping should go away and to give her advil if needed and he will set up a appt. for a bone specialist. Well she did okay for about a week and the lump was less but then it came back and the pain came back to where Michaela was coming to me and asking for meds to make the pain stop. This is not my little girl because you have to have an act of congress to get her to take any kind of meds. We where up all night with her and it was to where we where running on fumes and not knowing what to do anymore. So. I tried again and got a whole of another Dr. to see if she could help us. And well she run a cat scan and gave Michaela prednisone for the pain for three days which made a night and day difference in Michaela's pain. The first time in weeks she wanted to play and to get out to see her little friend across the street who was down for a visit with her grandparents. We were so glad she was feeling good. She even was okay a few days after the meds where gone but it did not last long and the cat scan showed there was something there in the bone that the tech did not like. So Mrs. Nelson said it was to long to wait to see the bone specialist that she want to go ahead and run a MRI and we said ok. Well, the tech said we should get the results on 3rd or the 4th of August and the test was run on the 31st of July. Well, it was a long week and the next week was our vacation and going to be out of town. I called and the x-ray said the gave the to the Dr and they did not have them and to come to find out the x-ray did not have the results yet, so I told them to call me as soon as the know something but we would be out of town and the Dr gave me more prednisone for Michaela. Well we left for our vacation to go see Megan for she and Michaela are best friends and Michaela wanted to see her . So we brought Megan to Deer Lake Cabins in Scroggins TX to stay a week with us for fun and to just relax for this was a much needed trip for us. It was great to see Daytona Angle and Bandit Megan's mom and dad. They are some really great folks to hang out with. Well, on Monday while we was out away from the cabins to get some thing for the girls I got the call that no one wants to hear, that Michaela may have bone cancer. John and I just want to drop to floor of wal-mart but we could not and the girls was with us. Michaela could see that there was something wrong but thanks to my sister who went on this trip with us kept her and Megan away long enough for us to settle down and put on that face that things are okay when all you want to do is scream why has this happen to our little girl. It was hard for John to drive back to the place we where staying at, but the Hemi got us there. My sister took the girls swimming while John and I called the Doctor back with question and where do we go from here. She did give us some hope that this could be and infection of the bone because the prednisone works on the pain and advil works and on most cancer those two things alone just don't make the pain go away. And that all her blood work keeps come back good. She said the tech don't have that info so he has to go with what he see and rule out what it is not and what it could be. So, our next step is for her to have a bone biopsy to find out for sure if this is cancer and what type or if it and infection of the bone. We are hoping for the infection. We don't want that either but it is better than the other. Sorry this was so long but need to just type and try not to cry. But it is so hard to stay strong and not break down. But I have Michaela and John to stay strong for so I will cry crylater. I just ask if you all could say a little prayer for her to be well it would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Saber and TexasHemi

Thanks so much for the prayers. It has been hard and to know that she will have to go thur this is heavy on the heart and to stay strong is so very head right now. Call the Doctor and she said the bone specialist didd not want to take Michaela on after he seen her MRI. So she put a call in at Cook Children's Medical Center in Ft. Worth,TX. And so we have an appt on the 26th of this month to see a doctor in the hematology/oncology. So, we will have to still wait to see if for sure she has cancer and what type. I am praying is just a really bad infection of some type. I thank each and every one of you for the prayers and to keep them coming please. Thank you so much. love with BIG HUGS
