Dose anyone know if anyone builds a real Ram Air System for the Daytona/SRT hoods. What I mean by real is staight from the hood to the intake.

The only one I knew of was by Malibu Dezigns (Hambek Customs). Unfortunately I believe they are "semi-defunct"; although I have heard rumors they will start to make them again next year.

I'm looking for one myself.

Yes they do and it is a very good one. However, it is definitely NOT for off road use running through water nor deep mud that could find their way into the scoop opening. You probably wouldn't want to run it on the road in any serious rain either as you will suck water into the throttle body.

Kind of an inherent design flaw with any real ram air system using a hood scoop type of induction. Water is going to enter the front of the SRT hood scoop and go straight to the filter. Just NO way to avoid it. I suggest if you went this route that you drill some drain holes in the bottom of the air box and also consider a filter wrap.

Anyway, Volant makes one that works in conjunction with their CAI. It will not work with any other CAI kit. It replaces the stock lid on the Volant CAI with the ram air system.

Volant makes an excellent CAI( had one on my 04 and loved it - also best looking IMO with the stainless lid )and this scoop definitely will turn it into a true Ram Air system for your SRT10 hood.

Not going to be a cheap setup however. You are talking somewhere around $650 +/- for the CAI kit and the scoop in total.

The SRT-10 hood scoop is actually in a low-pressure area, so there isn't any real ram-air effect. The only intakes that have shown serious gains were homebrew units with extremely short tubes that were a straight shot from the scoop to the throttle body. HEMI777 had a simple, inexpensive design a few years back, but he hasn't been around the forums for a long, long time.
