Well for the first time ever I've found an '05 RCSB, 2WD GoManGo Daytona at a local dealership. It's been on the market for about a week, and they've already lowered the price by $1000, so I'm guessing the demand for sport trucks isn't great around here. 34K miles on the clock, mine currently has 69K. They're asking $13,995 which I think is a pretty good deal. The trade in value on my Laramie 4-door is pretty close to the asking price although I do love the extra room, and by selling mine to a private party I might could even make some money. I could throw my cam and other mods in the Daytona, bring it down from that sky-high stance, maybe add a little spray and have a pretty nasty little truck tonguedrag. Let me know what you guys think, good deal or not, what to look out for, etc. I'm very interested and going to look at it Friday, wish me luck. Big Grin

You could probably pick one up someplace else cheaper, I bought this one shortly after I got my truck, that was the very first thing that HAD to be changed LOL

This link takes you to the page at the website (Styling Concepts) where I bought it, I've purchased several items through them and have always been happy with what I received and even their support has been great too...

Locking Black Billet Cover

Only 4 bolts to install it, fairly easy too..

Only thing is that I still need to hook up that little plastic piece that helps you from losing your gas cap..

And it's been what? 4 yrs now that I needed to connect that? LOL

Well the dealership advertised as closing at 7, I got there at 6:30 and they were locked up dunno. I walked all around it and it looked great overall, but I was puzzled by the installation of a gooseneck receiver in the bed Confused. It had chrome handles that would have to go and no wing (would definitely buy one, I love that look), but definitely a clean truck with some negotiating points. It's about 30 minutes away and I'll be hauling scrap metal to that town tomorrow so I'll hopefully have a chance to stop by and chat with them. I'll keep ya updated. thumb2

Did it have a dash plaque with its number on it? Be sure its a real Daytona before you buy it. We have seen others dressed up to look real, but lacked the dash plaque.

We looked at a RC Silver Daytona in Longview Saturday. Salesman said it was a one owner vehicle. Phillip pulled the dipstick and it was black! The oil was clean...probably just had the oil changed to look good. The engine had definately been overheated. We weren't gonna argue with the salesman about that after we found out he was asking $16,450! He said bottom dollar was $16,000 even. Well, I thought it was a little funny when, as I was sitting there with the truck running and A/C on Max, the salesman asked me to turn the engine off. I guess he sensed what we found??? Anyway, I didn't have time to let it get to operating temperature, and he didn't offer to let us drive it, either.

Check it out really good and run a CarFax on it.

Turns out they sold the thing right out from under me cry. Oh well, ya snooze ya lose I guess. I've been saving up to buy a new sportbike soon, so maybe it's for the best this didn't work out since I'd like to pay the bike off ASAP. The ol' gray quad cab will live to fight another day Big Grin.
