Group Buys are a pain generally for us small time internet/forum business's but I am actually trying to get a deal going for the Deluxe 2-4 McGaughys kits with spindles and rear flip. I havent finished the actual details but I am working on it. Im open to suggestions though.

If I get a confirmed deal set,I will ask if I can announce here or not.

The kit I am working on for the possible Group Buy is the deluxe McGaughys kit which has 2" spindles in front and a 4-4.5 flip kit in the rear and has rear shock extensions in case you already have purchased aftermarket shocks to still retain them for the drop. I highly recommend not running stock shocks as they are JUNK and dont belong on a stock truck much less a lowered or lifted truck. This kit works on 2wd and 4wd trucks from 2002-2008 and is great quality.

This kit can use drop specific shocks to eliminate the rear extensions BUT 06 -08 4wd trucks have frt struts with coils so there is no drop shock/strut available.

I am still working on this for the possible group buy,and so far I would need at least 15 110% committed purchases so this would work out and benefit the purchasers and the seller. Since Im shooting for a pretty large discount for the group purchase,I need at least 15 committed people so the discount stays nice, while me selling at least 15 makes the deal not so bad for me either so we all win.

Stay tuned for details, and I am not sure I will have this before Christmas or not but I am trying to get it done quickly.

Post below a list if we can of who is definately in for this purchase. Normal price on this kit is 590.00 shipped main 48 states. I am estimating around 540-545 shipped main 48 states which would be around a 45-50 dollar discount for the purchase which is a pretty good savings.

Lets check interest by listing names, and I will see how a few other forums members take to this also,by using a cross forum GB we may get the 15 purchase quota quicker and 110% committed faster.

Brian

PS
I used to travel to do these drops BUT I also had to have a 110% set up schedule from 110% committed buyers so that I didnt travel 3600 miles round trip and have a no show or a screwed up schedule. GAS prices pretty much halted my drop trip travels BUT I would still consider them IF and ONLY IF the gas for the trip was split by the buyers so that I still could benefit from the trip as much as the buyers themselves......catch my point?? i did do the drop installs around the US and NEVER had a NO show because I made sure I had a committment from the buyers for the actual purchase of the parts, committment for showing up and actually getting the work done so the trip wasnt wasted (NOT A GOOD THING!!) and also a place to do the work. Usually I had a neutral place to work as a few trucks came from close around for the work so the work was done at one place. One of my best drop install trips was executed so perfect.......had 3 complete drops and 2 levels in one place with a garage, every person showed and I worked from 8:00am til around 11:00pm. Cleaned up after all 5 trucks were done, started making my way back home, stopped at a guys house, leveled his truck in his driveway, left there and kept on my way home for another level in a guys garage......that trip was 110% done according to plans and worked flawlessly. I wont even attempt to travel IF I know I may have a tire kicker no show, which is why I work the travels very well to make sure I dont loose money,I cant have that happening.

Thanks Brian for putting this together. thumb2
Is there anything I should know before I lower my 4x4? I've heard stories about CV angles and such and that its not a good idea, I've also heard of many people who havent had any problems. Is there extra stress put on the drivetrain that could cause any premature failure or anything like that? I use my 4wd mainly for the snow. thanks

Brian,
Would my truck look like the ones on your site with the 2/4 drop? It looks like it would need more to be that low?

dunno Does anyone know if dropping our truks voids the drivetrain warranty? I have the lifetime and would hate to void it by dropping the truck?
