my brother who runs a drive shaft shop just installed an alluminum drive shaft on my truck.does feel like its moving a little better

im not sure what the weight difference was but i lifted them and would say it was a big difference in weight. it was custom made.you can check my brothers web site out @ supershafts.com

the 2wd Quad cabs, and some of the single cab long beds have aluminum drive shafts from the factory. The 4wd has steel drive shaft. From my understanding, they are not interchangeable, as one is longer than the other. It is possible that some of the 4wds came out with aluminum shafts in the early models. May have to do some research on that...Just out of curiousity, what was the cost for the shaft? Do you have any pictures? The website really doesn't show a whole lot as far as the shafts themselves go.

i dont have a price since it's my brothers place.you can contact him and he will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have,he is very knowledgeable when it comes to performance especially when it has to do with mopar.just tell him you are from the hemi truck club and that his brother Mike put a post up about his drive shafts.i will also give him a call to expect some emails about it.
