Got a questions with the mod listed below dose a ¼ time of 15.50 at 88mph sound right humidity was fairly high don’t know exactly what; at 2:00 am sound right???
I had a full tank of gas, I guess you figure I could of got rid of 20 gals, 5 gals at 9 pds I think… 36 pds, then two people at 350 pds together…. So an extra 380 pounds. Well that’s it…. I really didn’t know where to put the shift points on the turner so I had 1-2 at 6100, then 2-3 at 6050…. It just seems that I should have at least mid to high 14’s with my mods, I mean the biggest mod being the cam. Well advice is welcome please…. It’s a 08 QC 1500 with O/D off, tow pkg, if that has any extra weight…. A gallon of gasoline weighs about 6 pounds. The rule of thumb is for every 100 pounds you take off a vehicle you knock a tenth of a second off the 1/4 mile time. With less gas, no passengers (you said there were two), and the spare tire and jack removed you should pick up around half a second in the 1/4. Have you had your truck weighed?
Where is your rev limiter set? when i ran it was set at 6300 rev limit, 1-2 6100, 2-3 6050 when i ran that 15.5. So i change the shifts to 1-2 5900, and 2-3 5850, the rev limit is still at 6300. no never had it weighed before. it juts dosn't seem like with the cam and the superchip like it should be doing, i don't know if its the anti-slip or what.... might be why i'm lil slow on the start.

You really need a tune. A piggy back or SCT. Superchips is not designed for a cam.

Maybe SCT will hurry up and support the 07 and 08 trucks. Or, maybe Diablo will hurry up and support the trucks period. This is the only thing keeping me from doing a cam, because I'd rather not have a piggy back and I would like to disable MDS.

very true superchips is not going to support a cam with the 268 specs, it will do decent with a 6.1 but 268 requires much more tuning especially if you dont even have headers. A cam isnt just a bolt on or in lol

I would say mid to high 14s since you have a qc. I had SC, drag radials, intake, Headers with cut outs, no spare, no tool box, no tailgate 1/8 tank of gas, power wire and 180 t stat and I ran 14.52 in a single cab long bed which weighs 4750 or so.
Sounds like you need an SCT, but I didn't know they weren't out for 2007/2008.
