Got my Taylor Shortys and NGK 5306 plugs on yesterday. Took about 2 hours to get it all on, and that was taking my time. Thanks to all the previous post on here that I read prior to doing it, I was prepared and Knew what to expect. That's just one thing I love about this forum... all the HEMI knowledge.
I had intended on taking pics and giving my own "How to" but after the 3rd pic the camera went kaput again. If anyone has any questions just ask.
I could tell some difference in throttle response and idle, but was more please with how much it cleans up the engine bay. I will have befor and after pics as soon as I can get the after pic.
And big Thanks to Duane at 3rd Strike for the Product and great deals he has!

I was thinking about getting a pair of these taylor shorties in blue. Its time to change my plugs and wires anyway so why not right?? I am bone stock except for an air intake. If I get superchips after changing to these wires will the wires work for me? I am currently saving for it as we speak.....

Jay, look in the for sale forum for a sc. I reccomend that you [b]DONT BUY[/] used from ebay. If the progrmmer is not returned to stock your screwed. Have to send it back to SC for reprogram at $200.00. By from a member or a club sponsor.
PS Duane @ 3rd strrike has plugs and wires for 100.00.

Yes, the shorty wires work fine with Superchips. The only application I know of where there may be a problem is on a 5.7 nitrous-fed Hemi. Seems the stock coils need to be upgraded for that application.

Just leave the coil packs in place. Remove the old plug wires and install the shorties with a little dielectric grease inside each plug wire boot.

You only need to take the coil packs off if your changing plugs to if not just do what do what HemiByrd said and you'll be good

I took my time and spent the day installing chrome valve covers, spark plugs and shorty wires. Several articles posted here made it an easy task. Even took some extra time to paint the coils. This was done about a year ago and the coils look like they were painted yesterday.

Currently in the process of changing all the blue wire loom to chrome as it looks better with the valve covers and stainless steel hose braiding.

That looks great! But why does it take 2 hours to install the wires?

The plugs take 2 hours, or more. The wires take maybe 30-40 minutes if you stop for a beer break. Wink
