I'm about to install my efan and DCC controller and was wondering where you all placed it? Also where did you place the temperature diode in the rad?

I wasn't too sure about the water resistance of the controller, so I installed it in a transparent electrical outlet cover from Home Depot, then mounted it on top of the fuse box lid. It took a good deal of work with a Dremel tool to get the controller to fit in the box. Notice my engine compartment is just a bit dirtier than Solar Ram's (it has seen its share of mud - yet another reason to waterproof things). Big Grin

Another. I ran the high speed MKVIII wire through a 60A fuse to a toggle switch on the dash. The FK60 runs the low speed (set at 194 deg) but sends 10% current whenever the ignition is turned on. This works with my 180 t-stat to keep the engine temp between 180-194 at idle and under light load (no A/C). The low-speed setting only kicks on as needed when things get a little hotter.
