I INSTALLED AN EDGE EVO TUNER IN MY 07 SPORT. IT HAS 4 SETTINGS BUT I CAN'T GO ANY HIGHER THAN SETTING 2 BECAUSE OF THE CRAP FUEL IN OUR VALLEY. IF I INSTALL A COLDER STAT, WILL IT REDUCE PRE IGNITION? WHICH BRAND AND TEMP IS BEST. PART # WOULD BE A PLUS. THANKS

What octane of fuel is available? And have you tried an octane booster?

All you need is 91. They don't have 91 up there?

WE HAVE CHEVRON 91 HERE. THAT'S WHAT I ALWAYS RUN.IF I LOAD PROGRAM 3 OR 4 THE OCTANE ALERT MESSAGE COMES ON ALMOST IMMEDIATELY, 4 OR 5 MILES AT MOST. HAVEN'T TRIED OCTANE BOOST YET.

That's weird. Does Edge base that off the knock sensors or what?
I'm not sure if a colder stat would help you but I'm using a stant 180. That is weird. I have always thought that 91 octane REM was the same for all fuels. Strange!!

Thats what I run,.. but I am using a SC 3815 and have had no problems. I would email their tech support and ask them WTF is going on.
