i was driving it and it was running perfect then as i was comeing to a stoplight and came to a stop it all of a sudden cut off then it would just turn over and and wouldnt do any thing then if u give the truck a lil gas while turning over it wil start to run but it runs like a$$ almost like the timing chain jumep a tooth but the motor only has 60,000 miles on it and iv never heard of one of the hemi motors jumping timing its getting fuel and spark what else should i cheak and is thier any way to tell if the timing chain without tearing it apart

I've never seen a failure w/ the timing chain on these engines as of yet even with over 100,000 miles on them, anything is possible though. A few years back though we did see issues with some trucks having the tone ring on the back of the crankshaft come apart which did cause pretty much exactly what you're talking about. If the tone ring looses a tooth the computer no longer sees the pattern its looking for on timing from the crank sensor.

A failure of the crank/cam sensor either one can cause it to die out as well but they typically fail completely and it wouldn't start back at all.

you could try the "key trick"
quote:
turn key on, off, on, off, on and leave it on
i have never done this but it is metioned in several post on here, so i am sure someone else has more info on it for you or take your truck to a local autozone and they can read your codes for you goodluck1

Glad u found yer problem, but I'm a little confused. U state the motor has 60k on it, but it's covered by a one year warranty. Did u put on 60k, in less than a year? dunno
