What causes the rev limiter to kick in when you rev your truck up while in park? It doesn't even hit redline. what can i do to change this? And another thing is what is the reason for the shifting down down while doing a burnout?

I'm afraid that I can't substantiate it but if I recall correctly, reving the truck to redline in park will burn up the transmission. Hopefully someone will chime in that knows the reason for this.

There is a rev limiter at 4 grand when in park or neautral cause it bad on the engine to rev high with no load on it. I you want it to stay in gear use the shifter manualy.
