Just installed my new Bak Flip 2 Hard Folding Tonneau Cover. It was very east to install. Looks and works great. It has been raining all day, and my bed is bone dry. I also added a Pop-N-Lock to that I can secure items in the bed. I'll post some pictures when I get some taken. Great product!

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but it looks like even their new model is having problems. You might want to keep an eye on it.

Here's some pics from another forum. Again, this is Bak's new G2 model:

That doesn't look good. Hope they get that taken care of.

I researched it pretty good before buying. I new there were problems with Gen 1 units, but all those I have spoken or read about with Gen 2's are pretty happy with them. I'll advise if I have any issues, but at this point I really like it.

The first gen had lots of problems, one of them was the glue they were using. Bak stated that there's no glue on gen 2, just more rivits. Well, that statment was not true (obviously from the pictures) and it looks like the glue is still a problem.

I've had my Bak G2 for about 7 months now, it gets opened up to the cab everyday. So far I don't have too many problems, there are a couple of spots I've worn off the paint, and the rubber stripping the cover lays on is a little worn out now, but other than that, it's been a good solid cover. I really like it, and I don't think you made a bad choice. Here's some pics I just took for you, and I don't garage my truck, so it's been in the South Carolina sun:
