I currently have a plastic bed insert. Can I just get a gray rug bed cover put over it or do I need to remove the original bed cover?
Thanks Smiler

The bed rug takes the places of a liner. It wouldn't fit correct with the plastic liner installed.

I did use mine without a cover for a few months. If you are worried about mold or mildew, have no worries. The material is all marine grade and you don't have ANY of those problems. It won't hold water either and they are super easy to clean. You would think I was a salesman for them or somethin. 2funny I just love the product and I have to get one for the new truck sooner or later. Just doing some go fast goodies first.

They do well! Unless your going to be hauling dirt in it. Big Grin You can do that but it sure is a pain to clean out. The only thing that will give you problems is hauling plywood. If you don't put something, a sheet or anything in the bed first the little splinters will get caught in the fibers and are a pain to get out.
If you do get one and install it yourself be careful cutting around the tie downs and don't take the protective red cover off the Velcro until your ready to stick it down. The "hooks" on the Velcro will hang in the fibers and screw it up. If you don't have a bed cover and it rains on it it will dry out just fine, park headed up hill helps too. If you get water inside with a cover it can start to smell after a day or two. Just wash it out, let it dry and it's back to normal. thumb2

I had a plastic bed liner on my Dak and when I took it out to have a spray in liner done, there was a ton of rusts spots!! I would get the plastic one out ASAP. On my bee I have a bed rug and I am going to do the spray in too. That way I can take out the bed rug for nasty things and have the pretty bed rug for nicer stuff.
