Soft covers keep the bed dry for the most part. I went with a hard locking cover because I have a compressor and air tank in my bed and I needed something more secure. My soft cover on my Ford let a little bit of water in so I had to buy a cap.

Just installed the Truxedo Lo Pro QT; time will tell for sure but it was a very easy installation, appears to be top quality materials, fits very tight and looks good. Also comes with a lifetime warranty to the original buyer. I was looking for one that would work with my Putco Boss bedrails and this one fits very well. If anyone else has tried this tonneau please chime in with your comments - pro or con and tell me your experiences.
Thanks! |

i have had the Extang full tilt cover for almost two years and had never had water in the bed. the only issue is when it rains and then freezes i sometimes have a problem getting the tailgate to open but that only takes a little tug and its open. the seal from the cover will freeze to the top of the tailgate.

The only real complaint I have with my SportMasters cover is that in the cold weather it can be a real bear, if not impossible to close back up if you open it due to the shrinkage of the vynil itself. Makes closing it after Christmas tree shopping hard

I have the snapless Mopar cover and love it. Bed stays dry always. It is not made of vinyl so winter time is no problem, cover never stretches or shrinks. Made like a convertable auto top. If you install it yourself get it lined up correctly and you will never have a problem. Mine was on the truck when I purchased the truck new and it still looks new.
In times of sorrow and in times of joy remind thyself, this too shall pass. |

i have the mopar soft cover, bought it second hand.. it had a few small rips in it, however there is very little water that ever makes it in. i just checked to see what the cost was on getting another tarp cover and its like 245 dollars, a bit expensive. i love it...
