After discussing with my brother "damn its gotta hemi", my wife and I decided to get a soft toneau cover and to go with Extang. I Looked online, ebay, craigs list Kragen Auto and Summit, all were $250 plus except ebay. I found a guy out of northern Cali on ebay that had them for $139 deliverd buy it now, or starting bid of $40. I emailed him and asked him the best deal he could give me, and offered to do a hand exchange for 100 dollars but I had to drive 90+ miles. I contacted him to agree to do it on Saturday afternoon, but never heard from him, that was on Thursday. So thats when I called the Kragen depot, they said they had some on clearance for $13.99 but the girl said they were out that a guy had bought them all up and didnt remember the brand name but thought it was Toneau Smiler. I call the local Kragen and asked my friend if they had any, sure enough.. last one they had fit the 02-08 short bed but was $89..... wooo hooo lets do it. Got there rang up for $20.89. You becha .... score. Saved $100-200 dollars and to top it off it was made by Extang... it was their freedom line originally priced at $289, marked down to $89 and on cleance for $20.

Good deal that is for sure. Congrat's

Just be careful trying to work deals on the side with E-Bay stuff. Many sellers that do that are crooked and the ones that aren't will turn you in to E-Bay for trying and you will get booted off.

I was still going to go through ebay, do the purchas online, and then meet him in person to do the exchange to save on shipping, however its a moot point I got a much better deal. Thanks for the warning though.

What a difference, for the last few years I havent gotten any better than 14.5MPG on the way to my inlaws (@150 miles) pushing 60-65 in traffic in the bay area.... this time around was in the 70+ range and got 17MPG.... not bad for a $20 investment.
