I put an Extang RT low profile cover on my truck brand new in 05. I've ran a buisness and done lots of camping and boating since then, you can say the cover has been WELL used. The cover started not sealing well on the edges, it had stretched side to side to the point where the velcro didn't line up anymore. Wasn't a big deal when parked because the edges lapped over and water couldn't get in, but when driving down the road it's flapping in the breeze, and rain pours right in. Not good!

I decided to call Extang and ask them about a replacement tarp. The rep asked me for an 11 digit code stamped underneath the tarp near the front, verified my address and said I should have my new tarp in 7-10 days.... What??? Confused

He didn't ask for a reciept, didn't give me the "wear and tear" speech, didn't try to explain what "limited warranty" meant for a 5 year old tarp. He said "it's on the way, have a nice day."

I have never had any problems with an Extang cover and this is my 3rd one. I was prepared to pay for the replacement tarp, or start looking for another Extang tonneau if the tarp was too much. I didn't expect that. Extang may not be your first choice in bed covers but their customer service is top shelf. There is a lot to be said for piece of mind.
