Hey, Ive been building a "desert trekker" type truck, and I wanted to put a roof rack(preferably with lights built in) on next. So far, Ive googled trying to find something specifically made for my ram, but havent found anything yet. Anyone know of a company that makes them? Theres a local guy in town that makes bed racks I thought I might look him up if I cant find anything online...the thought of drilling into my roof makes me a tad nervous though...

I checked them out and didnt find much...the more i think about it I might just go with a full rack, that way I dont have to drill into the roof at all...Plus theres a guy in town that makes them custom, maybe I can come out with something half decent...

Unless you have a topper like RubberFrog, and since you have access to a custom fabricator, I would recommend installing a rack over/across the bedrails with a quick release and a swingarm that would allow rapid loading and/or removal. Plus, it would be more aerodynamic than a roof rack.
