hi i have an 07 and get a vibration in 4wd also. I took it in to the dealer and athey said that was normal. I am a tech. for an import dealer and our 4wd dont shake like my ram. kinda disappointed, I think it has to do with the fromt drive shaft, if its the balancing, angle, ujoints or crappy engineering. I know now why toyota is kicking ass and if there was a problem they would definitly take care of it thats why they are at the top. I hope i get the attention of any dodge techs out there to see if they can get to the bottom of this obvious flaw in their product. vibrations arent good, they cause accelerated wear of seals and other components. Also wondering if others are having the same issue, if so we would like to hear from you.

I've been getting steering wheel shake ever since I leveled my truck. It generally becomes noticeable at around 60-65 mph (in 2wd). Balancing the tires and realigning the front end makes no difference.

I just wanted to reply to kriegram, There are many many many, posts about Toyota's problems with their vehicles especially their trucks. You claim to be a tech and yet you can't diagnose your own vehicle? I have read about Land cruisers front frames splitting in half. I have read about Toyota truck tailgates buckling in half. I have read about toyota tranny's blowing up. I read about Toyota U joints falling out of trucks. Numerous recalls. I don't know why you claim their trucks to be better or them to be the top. Maybe your truck has a problem. Any manufacturer can have a truck come off the line and have a problem. There are so many parts and to have each one work flawlessly in conjunction with every other part on each vehicle and to never have any "problems" is impossible for any manufacturer. I do believe your dealer told you some BS. If you accept that then that is up to you. If you take it to where it can be sorted out then that is also up to you. I do hope you take it to someone who can get it right for you. Maybe someone from where you are can reccommend a competent dealer.

35" tires, 6" Suspension lift Kit, maxed out torsion bars....had to replace the front drive shaft after 70K miles WITH THE LIFT! Bought a front shaft for $70 delivered, 5 minutes to swap it out, done.....However I've NEVER had any weird vibration before...just a slight clunking sound that was the joints wearing out eventually. Most likely doe to the heavy angle on that shaft. Oh well, $70 is worth it to me every so often.

I actually get that vibration in my truck and it is bone stock. I did have the tires balanced the other day and the vibration seemed to get worse as the tires wore though.

stock except for an aeroturbine

Welcome to HTC!!
Have them roadforce balanced call one of these places http://www.gsp9700.com/pub/search/FindLocations.cfm
and make sure you tell them exactly what size tires you have and ask how long their tech has been doing it, do not accept anything over 20 pounds roadforced if they are they are bad tires

Not necessarily. For a (P)tire anything under 28lbs. is acceptable, for (LT)tire anything under 32or34lbs.

The balancer tells the tech if the tire and wheel assy can be matched or not. If not, the tire will have to be installed on a different rim, and the assy. will have to be checked again. It will also tell you if you have a bad rim.

This can be expensive moving a tire from rim to rim but well worth it to solve balancing issues.
