I have a 2005 ram 1500 4x4. I want to install a leveling kit on the fron to raise it 2". My question is what are the biggest size tires I can run without rubbing. I currently run a 285/70/17 terra grappler with no rubbing problems whatsoever. Also, when i installed these tires from the stock 265 tires I did not recalibrate my pcm. My transmission went out, the valve assembly and they told me that was why. So, I'm not really sure that was why, what do you guts think? I want to run 20" kmc rockstars with the level.

285/70 or 33 x 12.50 will be the largest you can fit w/out rubbing. It's unlikely that the tire size increase caused your tranny issues.
