Personally Id save the $ but if hes dead set, there is some things to purchase like steering nuckels etc if your doing excessive lift, 2 to 3" can be done with the front suspension in the factory location, more than that is custom fab work and custom parts, 2" block and a spacer up front is my susggestion, if you get into fabbin one out for him the nuckels are available through most of the lift provider "pro comp, rancho, superlift, rough country" If you do have any detailed things you want to know, ill do what I can I do this on the side!
05 QUAD CAB, ON 22'S, HELLWIG SWAY BAR, DJM DROP SHACKLES, SUPERCHIPS, AIRAID INTAKE TUBE, RAM AIR, K&N FILTER, 5306 PLUGS, SHORTY WIRES, 180 MOTORAD THERMOSTAT, THROTTLEBODY CLEANED UP, FLOWMASTER SUPER 40, ROYAL PURPLE 5W20, GRABBER GREEN ACCENTS, BILLET - AC KNOBS, DOOR LOCKS, PAINTED BEZZLE, SWITCHES, CUSTOM AMP RACK, WITH BD1000S AND PUNCH400.2 ROCKFORD FOSGATE AMPS, 2 P-3 FOSGATE SUBS, PIONEER SEPRATES MIDS AND HIGHS, FULL CUSTOM INSTALL, LOOKS AS GOOD AS IT DRIVES! |

Welcome to HTC.com hemihelper! I would stay away from anything "home made" when it comes to the suspension of these trucks.
Do you have a Hemi truck as well? ______________________________________________________________________________ HTC.com web site HTC.com store HTC.com calendar HTC.com National map 2003 Hemi Ram - Supercharged. 520 HP, 14 mpg... traded in for a 2006 SRT8 Grand Cherokee - bone stock. 420 HP, 16 mpg... traded in for a 2007 BMW 335i - twin turbo. 325 HP, 33 mpg |

OK, just to clear this up. You'll notice that Mudchucker's original post shows "Last edited by: Freeze..." Well, I accidentally hit the EDIT instead of the QUOTE icon on Jason's post so that I could agree with his advice, and for some reason the forum actually allowed me to edit it. I didn't realize what happened until I tried to review my new post...only it wasn't there...and Mudchucker's was now different. My apologies to Jason. Mark, got any ideas? Wow Freeze how’d you do dat?
I made my own 3” body lift years ago for a OLD blazer that was 80% off-road and mud bog racing vehicle. Cut chunks of pipe and wielded large flat washers on each end. No big deal, quick and simple, but we had the washers and the pipe and the wielder and the overhead hoist in the barn to lift the body. Already had a 4” suspension kit, and wanted to put 40”s on it. If I was to do it again (don’t like body lifts personally) I would buy the proper kit for lifting the body. Body lift is the cheapest and easiest way to get a few inches. But you may also have to make a cut in the floorboard for the transfer case shifter, or at least ya used to. Then there is the radiator. There are a few other issues, I am sure. Oh the nice part when I had the body lift on my 84 chevy truck, it was SOOOOO much easier when it came time to replace the saddle tanks, lots of room to get your hands in there. I did take the body lift off after that. Truck already had a 4” suspension on it. ____________________________________________ “tribuo nos pacis in terra” The Truck and Mods: How should I know? As you probably saw the rules when you were registering, our only prerequisite for becoming a member here is that you must own (or be very close to owning) a Hemi truck.
